Anyone who’s bought a laptop will know how costly the process can be. Need more RAM, storage, or a peripheral? Those usually cost eggstra. Then, there is the option to eggstend the warranty for protection if something terrible were to happen. That usually also costs eggstra.
This month, Acer Africa is offering buyers of certain laptops the option of a discounted eggstended warranty. It might not be the most glamorous of offers, but if you’ve ever had to foot the repair bill for a laptop out of warranty, you wouldn’t have that smirk on your face.
Protect your Acer eggs
Acer’s limited-time offer began yesterday, 8 April, and eggstends to 30 April 2025. If you bought your new Acer laptop before that, you missed the basket.
“We understand the importance of having reliable technology, whether for studies, work, family connections, or leisure,” says Glenn Du Toit, Country Manager of Acer Africa. “Our warranty campaign is designed to offer our South African customers an added layer of security and value, allowing them to invest in an Acer laptop with complete confidence.”
You’ll still have to pay for the privilege of eggstending your warranty with Acer’s special offer, add an eggstra R200 to the sticker price. If you’ve been on the fence about replacing your old lap warmer and want to weigh your options with this, there are a few things to note.
First, you’ll want to make sure you’re shopping on Acer Africa’s online store. Second, double-check that the laptop you’re eyeing has this promotional sticker adorning its product shot. You’ll know you’ve got a qualifying device if you can select this option before you check out.
And that’s pretty much it.
