Instagram is pumping. After rolling out new parental features and feed control, Instagram is now working on features that allow you to respond to stories via a voice message or share posts via QR Code.
Developer Alessandro Paluzzi tweeted over the weekend that Instagram is working on adding voice notes to its Story responses. Paluzzi shared a screenshot of the app to his Twitter account, which showed a new ‘gram feature.
In the same message box, users can type to send a response to other people’s stories. You’ll spot a microphone icon that shows that the social media platform might improve its engagement through voice messaging.
“The idea here is to make sure that people can express more support for each other, but also to clean up DMs a little bit,” said Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram a little earlier this year. He promised to include more features that support this idea. We guess this is one of them.

Instagram your QR code
In another screenshot, Paluzzi explains that Instagram appears to be investigating a feature that will allow users to share users’ or the creator’s own posts using a QR code. The post shows that when users click “Share to…” an option for QR code appears.

It is still uncertain when these new Instagram features will be more broadly available.
