OnePlus 12

Following the OnePlus Open launch, all eyes are on the OnePlus 12 in 2024.

This mainstream flagship, officially debuting in China in early December 2023, boasts impressive features: a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, up to 24GB of memory, and 1TB of storage. With a 6.82-inch AMOLED screen, 4500 nits peak brightness, and a massive 5400mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging, it’s a true powerhouse set for a global launch in January 2024.

iPhone 16 Series

Apple fans, mark your calendars for September 2024, when the iPhone 16 series is expected to be revealed. Anticipate multiple sizes and at least one Pro variant but that’s just Apple being Apple.

While details are sparse, Apple is rumoured to focus on AI advancements, introducing a new generation of Apple silicon and a fresh version of iOS. Keep an eye out for features like the 5x telephoto lens from the iPhone 15 Pro Max trickling down to the iPhone 16 Pro.

Nothing Phone 3

Nothing’s third smartphone is still shrouded in mystery, with an event at Mobile World Congress 2024 expected to confirm its existence.

While a handset reveal may not be imminent, speculation suggests an entry-level model possibly replacing the Phone 1. With a design reminiscent of the current Nothing lineup, including a transparent rear and glyph lighting, the name is uncertain – some say Nothing Phone 3, while others suggest Nothing 1a.

Samsung Galaxy S24

The highly popular Samsung Galaxy S series is anticipated to launch in January 2024 with the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra.

Expectations include the S24 Ultra featuring titanium construction, a two-chip strategy for hardware distribution, and a focus on AI. While camera and other improvements may be subtle, the S24 series aims to bring something special to the smartphone scene. Just like every other year then, Samsung?

Asus ROG Phone 8

Asus is set to surprise gaming enthusiasts with the ROG Phone 8, which was revealed at CES in Las Vegas in January 2024.

Featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPUs, active cooling accessories, and gamer-centric design elements like colourful LEDs or an OLED rear panel, the ROG Phone 8 promises an unparalleled gaming experience. Prepare for a sizable screen and battery, though the price tag may match the device’s gaming prowess.

Xiaomi 14 Series

Breaking its tradition of unveiling smartphones in December, Xiaomi announced its 14 series in October 2023, fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.

The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro boast impressive features, including an iPhone 15-aping titanium frame, screens with 3000 nits peak brightness, and a trio of rear cameras with Leica collaboration. Expect a global launch in February 2024.

Honor Magic 6 Pro

Confirmed at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, the Honor Magic 6 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, introducing ‘Magic Capsule’ – an eye-tracking information pill reminiscent of Apple’s Dynamic Island.

While additional specs are pending confirmation, a strong emphasis on photography is expected, with a 1-inch main sensor and a powerful telephoto lens rumoured.
