Cyber Monday deals in SA: Air fryers, TVs, phones and more

Cyber Monday

Now that Black Friday is done and you’ve dusted some rands off your accounts, you can spend a few more on South Africa’s Cyber Monday deals.

Though Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving, is originally an American e-commerce day designed to get more things off the shelves, local consumers worldwide continue to spend like January isn’t around the corner.

Most deals have a discount of around R1,000 with a few that drop prices off by around R5,000. You’ll notice there are fewer products on the slaves compared to Black Friday sales.

Unlike Black Friday deals that lasted until Sunday for some shops, most Cyber Monday deals went live at 12am on Monday and they’ll be valid for one day. Mostly.

Makro’s Cyber Monday deals include promotions on gaming consoles, kitchen appliances (yes, air fryers included), and a couple of vacuum cleaners.

Game claims it has “insane-price deals” on tech. Well…we wouldn’t say the prices are insane, but they’re definitely cheaper than usual promotions. Game has a few smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy phones, Apple iPhones, mid-range laptops, and TVs with discounts ranging from just over R4,000 to just over R12,000.

Apple’s iStore has exclusive Vodacom and Telkom contract deals on Apple products and some iPhone prices have dropped by 40%. You’ll also find a range of Sony cameras and nifty accessories including a few covers (some under R300). Incredible Connection also has a wide range of Apple stock on special but given current regular pricing, the discounts might not be as deep as you were hoping for.

Takealot added more deals following Black Friday last week. The online store’s Blue Dot Sale on tech has a wide range including gaming consoles, speakers, headphones, monitors, and kitchen appliances including gas fryers and air fryers.
