So you’re not in the market for a wearable that’ll give you answers to the question: “How stressed are you?” That’s okay, sometimes the stress doesn’t like it when you shine a light on it. (You still should, though). For something a little less technologically-detailed but still pretty damned technical, Fitbit has also revealed the third full device in its Versa lineup. This is the Fitbit Versa 3.
Versa versus Versa
Oh, and one other thing. The ability to use your Fitbit Versa 3 to talk to either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant through the device itself, plus the option to use your wristwatch to conduct phone calls. It’s not LTE-capable, your smartphone will have to be in the vicinity, but the internal microphone and speakers mean you’re able to use the wearable as a phone. Which, honestly, might be a rad thing to do if you’re on a golf course or in a park or something. Otherwise, earbuds are far more convenient for that.
Otherwise, your features are more or less identical to the Versa 2 — though a lot of functions from the Fitbit Sense are also present. Expect a six-day better, and there’s a new fast-charge option that Fitbit says will get you topped up for a day in just twelve minutes.
UPDATE: You’ll get your hands on it from October this year, with pre-orders kicking off in September. For a shiny new Fitbit Versa 3, expect to pay R5,700.
