DStv’s upgraded MyDStv app offers new features, replaces the old version entirely

MyDStv app

Multichoice-owned DStv is on a drive to impress its subscribers, knocking down streaming and satellite prices. Next for a revamp is the company’s MyDStv app, which subscribers should immediately upgrade to.

That’s because it entirely replaces the company’s previous app, released in June this year. That app’s various functions — payments, package changes, and so on — no longer work on the old version. For those tasks, and a couple of new ones, subscribers need to download and use the new app.

Everything the previous app was capable of, including clearing account errors, managing billing, and managing value-added services, is in the new version of DStv’s mobile app. There are also two new functions included.

Holiday Home lets subscribers manage their subscriptions when they’re not at their standard residence. This should make hauling your DStv down to the coast a less troublesome activity. There’s also a Manage Internet option for those who took a step into the company’s fledgling internet ecosystem.

You don’t have to be a DStv subscriber to download the MyDStv app — it’s available on Android, iOS, and Huawei’s AppGallery store — but it’ll have far more utility if you’re giving Multichoice money regularly.
