Nedbank’s Avo app is now an Apple Authorised Reseller

Nedbank Avo Apple

Of all the places you thought might supply you with Apple products, Nedbank’s Avo app perhaps wasn’t at the front of the line. And yet, here we are. Avo, the South African bank’s so-called super app, has been appointed an official Apple Authorised Reseller.

This means that it’s possible to purchase everything from Macs and iPads to iPhones, as well as all the ancillary bits that go along with them, via Nedbank’s app.

A toast to Avo

Apple’s products will appear on the Avo app from today and are available over 24-month contracts. Nedbank also says that June will see “some truly eye-watering, exclusive offers” launched. June marks the app’s second year in operation, and Nedbank feels a little like celebrating.

It wouldn’t be a shopping platform without a little nudge in the host’s direction. True to form, Nedbank customers are in for a better time of things. They’ll be able to use the app to spend and convert Nedbank Greenbacks. This will, in theory, bring Apple products even closer to hand. It rather relies on you having a stash of Greenbacks tucked away. But we’re sure someone’s been hanging on to them.

Nedbank’s Ciko Thomas said, “We are extremely excited at the opportunity to market and sell Apple’s range of devices and accessories. This partnership is a great fit, with Avo able to focus on creating high-value bundle offers and solutions for consumers and businesses across the spectrum. Our name is synonymous [with] inflation-beating tech deals, and we hope to bring these high-end products to as many South Africans as we can.”
