Bugatti’s next proper EV is a… scooter?

Bugatti makes some of the most insanely desirable vehicles on the planet. After all, if you’re going to die on contact with a concrete pillar, you might as well spend masses of money on it. But the company’s also got an eye for the weird and wonderful. Otherwise, why would the company make cars for kids or pools tables you can use on your megayacht in a storm?

It’s with that in mind that we introduce you to Bugatti’s latest creation: A fully electronic… scooter. Created in partnership with a company called Bytech, it’s probably the only way most of us will ever own a vehicle by the brand.

My other vehicle is a Bugatti

Bugatti ScooterThere isn’t a massive amount known about launch or pricing for Bugatti’s li’l scoot, but there are stats for basically everything else. It packs a 600W motor and a 36V/10.4Ah battery and cruises around atop 9in wheels. It’s got a top speed of 30km/h and a maximum range of 40km on a charge. There’s a display up top, so you can keep tabs on things like battery charge and your mileage.

There’s also a weight limit to be had — 110kg is the maximum amount of mass you should drop on it. The scooter has three speeds, cruise control, indicators (like those’ll ever be used), and is made from a magnesium alloy. It strikes us as remarkably similar to a certain electronic skateboard we tested recently. Only without that Bugatti cachet. And, you know, added handlebars.

Oh, and also a rear-mounted light that beams the Bugatti logo on the ground behind you as you scoot away from your haters. Because style is everything. Right?
