FNB partners with Vox to help business clients get fibre

First National Bank Business customers will now be able to sign up for Vox Telecoms fibre packages via FNB Connect and get R5,000 worth of additional value. FNB Connect is the bank’s mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that functions as a mobile network.

In addition, it’ll now sell software subscriptions via its platform, including Microsoft 365 subs, and antivirus options like McAfee and Norton, to all its FNB and RMB customers.

Saving bucks with Vox

The Vox Fibre solution is currently only available to FNB Business account holders, including sole proprietors.

“The introduction of fibre is premised on our belief that effective, high-speed, reliable, and secure telco services are critical to running a successful business. Furthermore, the software and productivity tools will provide value and convenience to our customers, enabling them to access a wide range of services on a single digital platform,” says Jacques Celliers, FNB CEO.

At the time of writing, we don’t have concrete pricing for the various Vox fibre offerings aimed at business use via the platform. But anyone holding a Business account with the bank can enquire via the FNB Connect tab in their mobile app.

“FNB Connect comprises a telco offering and a service provider business, and we are consistently scaling our offering across these respective areas. We continue to see phenomenal growth in our telco business as our integrated offering resonates with many of our customers. Similarly, we consider ourselves a leading online retailer, having recorded over R17 billion in sales of prepaid services such as electricity, airtime, data, and digital vouchers like Uber, Showmax, and Spotify in the past 12 months to June 2021,” says Bradwin Roper, FNB Connect CEO.

According to Celliers, the bank plans to bring its Vox offerings to more consumers in the future, which will include all FNB and RMB customers. This may even include fixed-LTE offerings linked to the Connect MVNO.
