Lego announces its own foldable device with an ‘infinite’ battery

Everyone’s on a foldable high, and whether or not you’re intrigued, or at least interested in foldable devices, Lego’s here to brighten up your day.

Lego unveiled its new Pop-Up Book set, taking a stab at Samsung’s marketing for the Galaxy Fold smartphone that was announced two weeks ago. Both Samsung and Huawei announced their respective foldable smartphones recently, and frankly, we’re in love with the concept. But why should it stop at big tech companies?

The Lego Fold features a stunning 5in cover display that unfolds into an 11in pop-up story book. It’s manufactured from top-grade foldable plastic, and will never run out of battery, which makes it the ideal creative outlet for anyone from the age of 12 up.

It’s got a longer battery life than both its competitors, a bigger ‘display’, it’ll even launch earlier! The best part? It costs a fraction of the price. Unlike Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, you won’t need to spend $2,000 on the Lego Pop-Up Book set, as it will go on sale for just $70.00 (around R990).
