LG drops a few specs for the G Pro 2, a couple of others leak

We already know that LG will soon be releasing the G Pro 2, since LG has confirmed its existence in a rather general sense. The company is expected to launch the handset some time before the end of February and they’ve also revealed a few specifications for the device.

The G Pro 2 will be launching with a 13 megapixel camera, which isn’t too unexpected, but LG will also be introducing a feature called OIS Plus. How this will differ from normal optical image stabilisation hasn’t been explained but the G Pro 2 will have another interesting feature: 3840 x 2160 or UHD video recording. Make of that what you will.

LG will also, according to a more recent leak, be upping the sound for the new smartphone in the form of a set of 1W speakers and a “…thickened bass booster”. The G Pro 2’s sound is supposedly 30% stronger than that found in its predecessor, according to a TechRadar report.

There are a collection of other expectations for the device, like a Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat installed from launch but these have yet to be confirmed. LG will likely give us the full lowdown on the device at MWC this year.
