Nokia’s Lumia 1020 becomes available in SA

It has taken its time in getting here but Nokia’s Lumia 1020, originally launched in New York in July this year, has finally become available for South African users.

In case you’ve been living in a cave with a box of scraps for the last six months, the Lumia 1020 is Nokia’s massively-megapixeled smartphone featuring the company’s PureView 41 MP camera along with all of the features that entails. The 1020 sports a Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of flash storage, and a 4.5-inch AMOLED display quite aside from the camera functions.

Nokia South Africa have said that both Vodacom and MTN will have the phone available, the latter in the coming weeks, with contracts starting at R399 per month.
