German camera company Leica, whose name is extremely well known in photography circles, have announced that they will be opening the first Leica Boutique in South Africa a little later this month.
The store opening is a joint effort between Leica Germany, local distribution company Tudortech and The Digital Experience and will see the boutique opening its doors inside The Digital Experience’s premises at Fourways Crossing Shopping Centre in Johannesburg on 21 November.
Tudortech CEO Gary Shap said in a statement “One of the key attributes of a Leica Boutique is the advantage of receiving preference on key stock items as well as certain limited edition releases. This will provide the Leica enthusiast with an ideal outlet to savour the full Leica complement in a familiar environment on par with any other Boutique destination in the world. We are very excited to finally have this opportunity to showcase Leica in a retail environment worthy of the brand’s prestige.”
