Cell C launches Believe campaign and competition

Local mobile operator Cell C has announced the start of a new campaign and competition aimed at the customers who have shown large amounts of support for the company. The initiative is called Believe and no, it’s not affiliated with a certain Canadian pop singer.

Part of the campaign is a series of new television, radio and print ads. The TV commercial, which is central to the Believe campaign, features former Miss South Africas Bokang Montjane and Melinda Bam, along with celebrity presenter Jeanie D. The three women will be acting as brand ambassadors for the mobile operator.

Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos said in a statement “All three of these ladies are inspirational. They will also use Cell C as a platform to inspire other women to believe in their strength and qualities.”

The other part of the campaign is a competition open to all Cell C customers. In order to be eligible, Cell C subscribers and pre-paid users need to make a call a day over seven days each month. Those that do are eligible for a cash prize of R100,000 which Cell C will be giving to one user each week until the end of January next year. There is also a SUPACHARGE promotion going for pre-paid customers which will see some users picking daily awards of R500 airtime each day  until the end of the promotion.

Dos Santos said “You believed in us and now we want to show you that we believe in you”
