App developers all over the world are after one thing. Money. Recognition that you’re better than everyone else, though? That’s also a decent thing to have.
If you’re a South African app developer, you’ll know that Stuff’s App Awards winners for 2024 were recently announced. That can only mean one thing — yes, it’s time to start gearing up for 2025.
What’s app’n’ing?
We’re not saying that it’s time to ready your URLs and dump a bunch of information on us. Not yet, anyway. But the time isn’t far off. We’ll be looking for locally developed apps, no matter where or on which platform they’re released, as contenders for Stuff‘s 2025 App Awards.
To be eligible for entry, the app must be a) locally developed, b) must launch between 1 June 2024 and our closing date in 2025, or c) must be in a near-release state at the end of our call for entry period. In addition to a range of standard categories — you’ll see those here — we’ll also feature one specifically for apps that have not yet made it to market.
There are more announcements to come soon but the time isn’t quite right for that. But if you’ve got a new (or recently heavily updated) app on or about to hit the market, keep an eye on Stuff‘s social media and on the website. You’ll want to hear what’s coming up in the next few weeks.
