Logitech, famed peripherals manufacturer, has launched Zone Learn, a kid-friendly take on the company’s original Zone headset. The headset is marketed at kids, specifically in the case of online learning. No longer will you have to suffer through *ahem* that guy’s poor mic audio at the beginning of a lesson or meeting. You can thank Zone Learn’s driver optimization of speech intelligibility for that.
No more cheap plastic
Kids’ headsets are often… bad. They’re usually designed with cheap plastic in mind. And don’t even get us started on sub-par sound quality. But at least they’ve got Hello Kitty on them, right? Zone Learn headsets, like most headsets for kids, are built to be tough. Zone Learn takes it a step further though, with Logitech promising they’re “chew-resistant”. We don’t even want to know who was paid to test that out.
To drive that point home, Logitech claims it’ll resist drops of around 1.2m. Multiple times. It’s also undergone “extensive wipe testing” allowing it to be viciously cleaned many times. You know how dirty those things (kids) are.

Beyond improved voice quality and durability, Zone Learn offers a few different customization options. Specifically, kids can swap out the over-ear cups for on-ear cups and vice versa. This also makes the cups easily replaceable should the “chew-resistant” promise fail to hold water. A choice of cables – 3.5mm aux, USB-A, or USB-C – is available to suit specific use cases. A boom mic with 120 degrees of swivel is included too. This is an ‘online classroom’ headset after all.
Expect these to start showing up in stores this summer (winter for us South African folk), with a $40 (roughly R720) package including over-ear pads, a 3.5mm aux, and a USB-C cable set to appear. Teachers that want a set (or sets) a little earlier can place their orders here, with a choice of cable and ear-pad for $35 (roughly R630).
