Apple has already fixed the iOS bug with the iPhone 13, kinda

Apple

On Monday, we reported that Apple users were facing a rather inconvenient problem. Some users were reporting a problem when trying to unlock their iPhone 13 with the new ‘unlock with Apple watch’ feature that comes with iOS 15.

The bug is particularly inconvenient if you’re in public and need to unlock your phone and you’re (hopefully) wearing a face mask. You’d have to input your passcode and hope no one was looking over your shoulder.

The company acknowledged the problem and said it was working on a fix and would include it in “an upcoming software update”. But until then it advised users to disable the feature and use a passcode.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Apple was this quick with everything?

Well, Apple hasn’t wasted any time in getting that update out in its beta software program. As of iOS 15.1 beta 2, many users are reporting that the issue seems to have been resolved.

The iOS 15.1 beta 2 update doesn’t only contain this one fix, however. SharePlay was also reenabled in this update. SharePlay unfortunately missed the iOS 15.0 release but looks like it might make the 15.1 release. The feature lets users share experiences, like TV or music, within FaceTime. The update might also include a way for you to add your vaccination status to your Wallet app.

While this is excellent news for Apple fans, what we don’t know is when this newest iOS beta update will make it to all users. But if you can’t wait you could sign up for Apple’s beta software program, we guess.
