It’s been a good week for Fortnite players. Immediately after welcoming the Predator to the game, Epic Games has just announced Sarah Connor and the T800 from the Terminator franchise as skins purchasable in the item shop.
You can snag the T800 skin for 1,500 VBucks and Sarah Conner for 1,800, or get them together in the Future War bundle for 2,800 VBucks. There are also several Terminator themed cosmetic items, such as a combat knife, some Skynet back bling, a techno grip axe, and an awesome emote that imitates the T800’s iconic flaming thumbs-up from Terminator 2: Judgement Day. All of these are included in the Future War Bundle.
Sarah Connor also has an alternative outfit adorning her with a combat vest, sunglasses, and a hat. It would have been pretty cool to also get a skin-on option so that players could run around the map looking like good old Arnie, but the hulking robo-skeleton T800 is still awesome on its own.
Come with me if you want to… be in Fortnite
This season of Fortnite is themed around great hunters across the multi-verse, and our blue-eyed blonde-haired boy Jonesy has been tasked with recruiting the best of the best. This has allowed for the addition of characters such as the Mandalorian, Master Chief, Kratos, the Predator, and now the T800 and Sarah Connor. It makes for some great crossover ideas. We’ve always wondered who’d win in an all-out brawl between the T800 and the Predator.
We’re looking forward to seeing who Epic Games pulls into the game next. Nathan Drake? Metroid’s Samus Aran, maybe? It’s exciting to have so many franchises and recognisable characters interacting in one place, even if watching them swing pickaxes and do trendy dances is a little ridiculous. These crossovers are also probably a good way for Epic Games to make some extra cash now that Fortnite is no longer on the iOS App Store
