Letter from the publisher: Meet Stuff’s growing team

Marcé Bester

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Marcé Bester is not only Stuff’s new digital editor, but also our publication’s first female editor.

I’m also thrilled to welcome Nick Cowen as Stuff’s new Associate Editor, while Brad Lang is now deputy digital editor.

Marcé has been with Stuff for three years, having interned for us when she was studying. We tracked her down and hired her after she graduated. And, like all of us at Stuff, she is an ardent gamer.

Marcé says: “Over the past year, it’s become clear that Stuff’s digital channels play a significant role in getting tech and gaming news to our readers. Our channels have grown at an unprecedented pace, and I’m extremely proud of the team that worked with me to accomplish it. We’re excited to bring the world of tech more rich media stuff — that’s what we do best, after all.”

Along with Brad Lang, they have built up StuffPlays – our awesome new gaming channel – which Nick will help grow.

Nick has been writing about technology and games for nearly 20 years and his work has featured in myriad publications, both online and in print, including The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Stuff UK, T3, Ars Technica, Gamespot, IGN, Eurogamer and more.

In 2006 he co-created the award-winning gaming section of The Daily Telegraph, making it a player in both the UK and globally. Aside from freelancing for many publications, Nick has held the positions of Editor-At-Large for T3 Magazine, Editor-In-Chief of HTXT and Online Lifestyle Editor at The Citizen.

Over the course of his career, Nick has interviewed major figures in the gaming and tech industries, attended numerous international and local conferences, and, naturally, has played with a lot of high-end tech and video games.

After a brief stint in PR, Nick has returned to writing about games and tech. We are confident he will bring a lot of passion, expertise and fun to Stuff’s online and print pages.
