Netflix has launched a new feature that allows people to share their favourite shows on Instagram Stories. Now you can share the new season of The Punisher with your followers whether they like unadulterated violence or not.
The feature has launched on iOS first, and is already available via the Netflix app. To use it, go to the show you’d like to share with your followers, tap ‘Share’, and choose ‘Instagram Stories’.
This will add the title’s custom art to your Instagram Story, where it remains visible for 24 hours. You can edit your Instagram Story to have polls, questions or GIFs of dogs twerking — depending on your personal online aesthetic, of course.
“We’re always on the lookout for ways to make it easier for members to share the Netflix titles they’re obsessing about and help them discover something new to watch. We hope our members enjoy this new feature!” says a Netflix spokesperson about the launch.
Users can share anything hosted on Netflix — not only Original shows. We’ll likely see the feature added to Android devices some time this year, but Netflix has not given a definite timeline yet.
