DStv Now app available for Xbox One, some Hisense TVs

sport

One of the biggest issues with DStv Now, Multichoice’s streaming service based on their DStv satellite television offering, is that the offering was limited to certain devices. Any time there’s a new platform added, though, DStv gets a little bit better. Guess what? It just got a little bit better.

Multichoice has announced that DStv Now is finally available on the Xbox One, via its own app. This is great news for Xbox One owners who don’t like the idea of changing channels or input selections in order to catch up on whatever it is they’re watching at the moment. The Xbox One, the One S and the One X are all supported. Next up the PlayStation?

Hisense’s smart TVs are also getting a look in, with Multichoice rolling out a smart TV app for all Hisense TV’s that launched in 2018. The exact models haven’t been listed but if your Hisense screen was manufactured last year (or earlier), it’s definitely not on the list.

Earlier this year DStv Now launched on the Apple TV. It’s also available on certain Android media boxes, mobile devices (via the app), Samsung TVs (provided they were made after 2015), and LG TVs (webOS 3.0 and upwards). Plus, you know, through a web browser if you’re laptop-watching.
