Want your Galaxy S7, S7 Edge from MTN? Here’s the damage

Earlier today we got a look at what Samsung’s newly released-in-SA Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge hands would set you back if you were purchasing from Vodacom. Now it’s time to see what MTN can lay on the table. Let the battle of Red vs. Yellow begin.

To start with, MTN have detailed far more packages for Samsung’s new flagships. Potential upgraders can snag the S7 and the S7 Edge on My MTNChoice, AnyTime TopUp, and My MTNChoice Flexi contracts, with 24-month or 36-month terms.

MTN ContractThe cheapest standard option of the lot is the My MTNChoice 100 package, a 24-month offering with 100 Anytime minutes, 200 SMS and 500MB of data per month, for R600/pm for the Galaxy S7 and R650/pm for the S7 Edge.

If you want to scale up the price (nobody ever does) then MTN’s most expensive option will gouge you for R1,180/pm for the Galaxy S7 (500 minutes, 500 SMS, 7GB data per month) or R1,230 for the Galaxy S7 Edge.

If you’re looking at an off-contract option, MTN are offering the handsets to users for R13,800 (Galaxy S7) and R15,400 (Galaxy S7 Edge). We hate to pick sides but Vodacom have got it available a little cheaper
