Is this what the Galaxy Note 5 will look like?

September is fast approaching and that means that we’re going to be seeing a swathe of new phones popping up at IFA 2015. One of these is the Galaxy Note 5, Samsung’s updated phablet, and the rumours have been coming in steadily ahead of the announcement. Now it looks like the design files for the handset have also been leaked.

The actual CAD design file, that is, as found by leaker OnLeaks – which has a pretty darn good track record in telling us stuff companies don’t want us to know about yet. The design render has been rotated in a video (below) so you can get a good idea of what the Note 5 will look like come launch day.

The design looks very similar to the Note 5’s predecessor, but there are enough differences to make this leak believable.

There’s space for a stylus, which will make a few users very happy, and Samsung look to have altered the rear design in line with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge – they’ve moved the fingerprint sensor. The bezels also look to have shrunk.

What is odd about this render is that it looks like Samsung is sticking with the microUSB port we’re all used to. Perhaps those USB-C reports were off the mark? We’ll have to see.
