That’s not an Apple Watch. THIS is an Apple Watch

Apple’s watch, or Watch, will be launching very soon and there’s bound to be a bit of a wait for new Apple wristwear to enter stores in the States. And it’s not like you can just make your own Apple Watch… or can you?

Can you?

Wellll… you can, but it’s not going to be the sleek and expensive smartwatch that Apple is about to unleash upon the buying public. Instead, you can make yourself a little Apple II — one that fits on your wrist and has (non-working) floppy discs to go with it. It’ll tell the time and do a few other things, but it’s mostly for show. But what better way to declare your Apple allegiance than to wear a bit of the company’s history on your arm?

Instructables user Aleator777 has listed a step-by-step guide to making your very own Apple II Watch, though you’re going to need access to a 3D printer and a bit of patience to get it working. Everything else, right down to the custom software and 3D-printer files you need has been provided. The rest of your retro-watch-fitting (including component purchase) is up to you.
