LG drops details and images of their G Watch

LG’s upcoming G Watch, which is based on Google’s Android Wear and which is expected to launch before the end of June, is still awaiting the detailing of specifications but the South Korean company has launched a website dedicated to the wearable device that offers a few new details regarding the smartwatch.

We were already aware that LG was going to feature notifications and voice control but there are a few other bits and pieces that the company has now revealed. Voice control will be using the same system that Android smartphones are making use of, so you can expect a lot of folks to be saying “Okay Google” to their wrists in future.

LG has also shown off the colour options for the G Watch, which will be available in Stealth Black (or just Black) and Champagne Gold (around the edging of the watch face). The smartwatch will also be water and dust resistant, though the rating hasn’t been revealed yet. Lastly, LG says that the G Watch’s display won’t ever go to sleep so important information (like the time) and notifications should always be just a glance away.

Also on the new website is an image gallery, showing the two colour variants of the G Watch from a range of different angles.
