Koenigsegg is designing some laptops for Razer (and they’re not for sale)

Gaming peripheral and tech company Razer is getting together with hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg in order to create a limited-edition run of notebooks called the Razer Blade. And, typically, you’re not going to be able to buy one. But, if you’re extremely lucky (and happen to live in a country where the company is able to ship to – South Africa qualifies), you might be able to win one.

The specs for the Koenigsegg-designed notebook have yet to be detailed but Razer says that that it “…will boast power that belies its ultra-thin chassis.” We’ll know a little more about the laptop that we’re not allowed to have in March, when it will be properly unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. Apparently this is just the first part of the partnership between Razer and the auto manufacturer, so perhaps we’ll see some branded tech that will actually land in stores at some point.

Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan said in a statement “As far as I’m concerned, Koenigsegg is the archetype by which all design innovation may be measured universally—a company hell bent on combining beauty, performance and sheer power. Our shared obsession with extreme performance makes working with Christian and his crew an exciting project and an honour.”
