Nintendo South Africa will be joining most of the European territories in a promotion from the Japanese company aimed at getting their 3DS handheld console and games into the hands of those who haven’t seen them yet. Called the Super Mario 3D Land Welcome Promotion, 3DS owners will get a free copy of Super Mario 3D Land – one of the higher rated Nintendo games for the 3DS – free of charge provided they register their 3DS or 3DS XL and one of fifteen new 3DS games between the end of November and mid-January.
Anyone who has purchased a 3DS or 3DS XL (the 2DS is excluded from the promotion) will have to register the device any time after 17:00 on 27 November this year and before midnight on 14 January 2014 as well as one of fifteen titles from Nintendo on the Club Nintendo website. One that’s done, participants can request a download code for Super Mario Land 3D. There are, of course, a bunch of terms and conditions that you’ll need to be aware of while taking part in the promotion.
Nintendo have also released a ‘How To Claim’ guide in case you run into any hassles later this month. The eligible games are listed below.
