A report from the Korea Economic Daily claims that Samsung is working on a 12-inch tablet, just a touch larger than the company’s largest effort in that sphere to date.
The report cites industry sources, who said that Samsung is “now engaged in development” of the device. The rumoured tablet is thought to be launching as soon as October this year, though there has been no whiff of a larger tablet from Samsung officially.
As sketchy as this information is, there are grounds for believing that it is correct. A Wall Street Journal report has previously said that Apple is considering a similar form factor for tablets so Samsung might be prepping something similar in the event that Apple rolls out a larger version of the iPad in the near future.
