One of Spotify’s best ideas was to show people what they listened to in any given year. Now, everybody does it. Even EskomSePush gave it a go this year, though that’s more depressing than interesting. PlayStation and Nintendo have also joined in, letting you see just how chronically online you were in 2022. Xbox, as usual, is behind the curve.
Wrapping Up
We’re kicking it off first with the superior console first: Sony’s PlayStation. The Wrap Up is broken down into four different sections: Total play time, Top games, Trophies earned, and PlayStation Plus. Each section provides individual stats such as total PS5 and PS4 playtimes, hours spent playing online, etc.
Move on to the top games category and PlayStation can tell you whether you played Elden Ring or God of War Ragnarök more. Let’s be honest here; nobody’s top game was Horizon Forbidden West. If it was, we’re sorry that you only got to play one game this year.
The PlayStation Plus section shows you how many games Sony made available through its various tiers across the platform. 510 is the final number, though we’re not sure if this number will change depending on which tier you currently pay for on the platform.
To access your Wrap Up, go here. Sign into your account and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the highlighted link. That’ll take you to your personal Wrap Up. The rest is pretty self-explanatory but if yours isn’t working then you didn’t give Sony permission to track your user data. No Wrap Up for you.
Once you’re done, PlayStation will give you a code to redeem a new Avatar based on your playstyle. What it doesn’t tell you is that the codes aren’t unique, and you can redeem all of them. Thanks to Reddit, we’ve compiled a list of all the unique codes you can claim as a South African.

Nintendo Year in Review
Nintendo’s Year in Review isn’t quite as extensive as PlayStation’s, but that’s okay. All you really need to know is what you played the most this year and for how long. Personally, most of our time went into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Party Superstars (the superior Mario Party game).
Nintendo will tell you how many days you turned the game on but not how many days you played altogether. It’ll let you know the total number of hours you spent not saving Zelda. That’s about it. There are a few other special stats that will be interesting to some, like your preferred genres and some game-specific details. It’ll vary heavily based on which Nintendo games you own.
