It has to be tough, making Star Wars games. Especially today, when the brand is owned by Disney. But the folks at EA and Respawn Entertainment look to have made something mighty fun with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We’re not going to overburden you with too many details about the 15 minutes of actual gameplay that has been released in time for this year’s E3 expo but we will compare it with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed — the last time that a Star Wars title offered this point of view. Fallen Order looks like that game and Uncharted had a baby. A very attractive baby, with the ability to do all manner of amazing things with a lightsaber. Fallen Order launches on 15 November. Forza Horizon 4 is getting some Lego love with the Lego Speed Champions expansion this week
It’s nice to see some stuff from E3 that we’ll get almost immediately. Forza Horizon 4 is getting a new expansion pack a little later this week. And in keeping with Lego’s stealth marketing takeover of Planet Earth, it’s going to be Lego-themed. If you don’t believe us, check out the trailer at the link below. We… want to dislike it but it’s entirely possible that we’ll enjoy the Lego Speed Champions expansion more than the actual game. Just like the theme music suggests, it does indeed look… awesome. There are a few Lego-fied vehicles with the expansion, a series of challenges, and a place called the Lego Valley. Cool. Expect it to drop on 13 June.

Commander Keen is back — though we kinda wish he wasn’t
Oh Commander Keen, what have they done to you? For those of you who aren’t old enough to remember Commander Keen, Keen was a thing back in the days of shareware in the 1990s. Boiled down, the gameplay was basically Doom if Doom was a platformer and the Doomguy was a kid in a football helmet. Well, Bethesda will bring Keen back as a… mobile game. And we really, really wish they won’t. Because, based on the gameplay trailer, it looks rather… well, crappy. The series has taken a turn from a skill-dependent, often high-speed game to something that involves cooldowns, turns, and other hallmarks of mobile gameplay. You know, the sort that’s easy to monetise? We’re hoping we’re wrong but the new Commander Keen? Yeah, it looks like a cash-in to us. The folks who know it are going to hate it and the folks who’ve never heard of it will have no idea why they should care about it. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is conquering the PC this year
If you’re a PC gamer, you’ve at least heard of Age of Empires, with Age of Empires II arguably being the pinnacle of real-time strategy games at the time. (Empire Earth and Supreme Commander fans, sit down. You’re technically niche.) Age of Empires II returns this year with the Definitive Edition, which is a remastered, enhanced (up to 4K) edition of the game with all the DLC and an all-new campaign — so that long-time fans have another reason to buy yet another edition of this one.
