Veteran video game voice actors Nolan North, Troy Baker to appear at Comic Con Africa 2019

It’s one thing to meet an actor, it’s quite another to meet an actor whose face you’ve rarely seen. But that’s just what’s happening at Comic Con Africa 2019. Reed Exhibitions Africa and ReedPOP have announced that two of the biggest names in video game voice acting will be making an appearance at this year’s event. And even if you don’t know their names or their faces, odds are you’ve heard them somewhere along the line.

Both Nolan North and Troy Baker will be showing up at Comic Con Africa this year. If you’re not sure who they are, just pop on Uncharted 4. All will be made clear… pretty much immediately.

Multi-talented

Nolan North is best known for voicing (and performing much of the motion capture for) Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series. He is also the voice of long-time Assassin’s Creed protagonist Desmond Miles, and has voiced more other characters than we can comfortably list here. (Hint: One of ’em is Deadpool). North has teamed up with Troy Baker on several occasions, with Uncharted 4 being perhaps the best example.

Troy Baker voices Nathan Drake’s brother Sam in Uncharted 4, was the villain Pagan Min in Far Cry 4, and voiced both Booker DeWitt (Bioshock Infinite) and Joel (The Last of Us). He’s also voiced several characters for motion pictures, including both Batman and the Joker in Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Attendees will get to meet the pair at the event, though we’re not sure of the actual mechanics of that just yet. We’ll update you once we know more.

Comic Con Africa will take place in Johannesburg at the Gallagher Estate Convention Centre from 21 to 24 September this year. We’re certain that there are more announcements to follow, so stay tuned for updates as we get them.
