Unboxing videos are one of the curiosities of the internet. For reasons that largely elude us, people seem to love them. Maybe it’s the vicarious equivalent of unwrapping presents on your birthday. Maybe it’s the thrill that only well-designed packaging can deliver. Or maybe the internet is just a strange place and we shouldn’t overthink things. Whatever the reason, we’ve gone ahead and shot a pair of unboxing videos of Apple’s latest kit — the iPhone XS and the Apple Watch Series 4 — for your viewing pleasure. Both devices went on sale locally today.
First up, there’s the iPhone XS. In this case, it’s a 256GB version of the Space Grey model. If you’re planning to get your own through the iStore, don’t forget to fill in the online form before the end of 2018 for free Apple Care worth R2,000.
Then there’s what we’d argue is the far more interesting device, the new Apple Watch Series 4. Once again, we’ve got a Space Grey version to test, in the larger 44mm variant. Feast your peepers on that snazzy packaging!
