It’s easy to hide the LG 65-inch rollable OLED TV

Obviously CES 2018 was always going to bring us some of the most interesting (and unconventional) new tech we’ll see all year, but even we weren’t expecting yoga mat TVs. No, really.

LG Display has just shown off a prototype of their 65-inch OLED screen that can be rolled up and hidden when it is not in use. This makes it easier to install and move, but most importantly it can be hidden to give your room a ‘more minimal look’. Don’t expect to pick it up and roll it up quite like that yoga mat you bought for your new-year’s resolution, though. It rolls up into a convenient box on your wall instead.

As with LG Display’s also-announced (and also-a-prototype) 88-inch 8K OLED, there isn’t much known about the specs. While the gigantic OLED is impressive on a technical level, they are focusing more on the practicality of the screen.

The company has teased us with bendy-screens before, with smaller-scale versions (seen at a previous CES and in the LG G Flex 2), but we haven’t seen it used in a proper TV unit up until now. And, being a prototype, we kinda still haven’t. There are no plans to make this one commercially available. Yet.
