SpaceX turns its rocket landing failures into a massive win

Explosions and humour? This Friday could not get much better. Private space company SpaceX has dropped a video of (most of? all of?) its failed rocket landings, set to the theme song from Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Because everything is funnier with Cleese, Idle, Palin, and the rest of the Mad Hatters.

Which boils down to two minutes of spectacular rocket footage, each clip mostly ending in something blowing up — a nod to the classic Python How Not To Be Seen sketch.

Some of the rocket causes of failure are listen but it rapidly descends into silliness, with a rapid unscheduled disassembly taking the place of a very rough landing.

Say what you want about SpaceX’s remarkable rockets, they have wonderful plumage. And they’re just resting. That’s right, just resting.
