Ubisoft announces Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection for November launch

Widely regarded as the best character in the Assassin’s Creed series, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, is going to be showing his Italian face on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 in a new remastered edition. Ubisoft has announced the existence of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, a compilation of Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

The re-release is happening for a variety of reasons. Money, for one, but the Assassin’s Creed franchise has also sold more than 100 million units to date and this is a celebration of that milestone. Sort of. We’re sure that the pending Assassin’s Creed motion picture that is due to launch at the end of this year has a little something to do with this. But come on, it’s everything that Ezio ever got up to (including all of the story-based DLC that was released for all three included games)

There’s no PC version coming, since those were already released with visual upgrades over the original console versions. It’s going to be hard to top that. But PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can look forward to The Ezio Collection, along with its associated visual upgrades, when it launches on 17 November this year.
