If you’re a Stuff reader then we shouldn’t have to tell you what today is. In case you’ve missed all of the rumours over the past… year or so, Apple is going to be unleashing their iPhone 7 onto the world this evening.
Make Time — The event kicks off at 10:00 in the morning, American time. On the West Coast, that is. So you’re going to need to make sure that you’re prepped at ready at South African time. That’s going to be 19:00 in the evening but if past events are any indication, things will only really get rolling at 20:00.
Location, location, location — Make sure that you’re at the right location. Several websites will be hosting their own live-streams, so you could probably pick your spot, but if you’re after the official spot then you’re going to have to head to Apple’s website — you can find it here.
Terms and Conditions — Once you have your time and place locked down, you need the right tools for the job. Having a Macbook, an iPad, or an iPhone will be a big help in seeing the iPhone 7 first. You can catch the stream using the Safari browser on iOS 7.0 (or better), or you can use a MacBook and Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5. If you’re a Windows kinda person, you’re going to need to use Microsoft’s Edge browser on Windows 10. Or… you can also use an Apple TV. The second and third gen devices will work, as long as they’re running the 6.2 software or better, or the fourth gen Apple TV should work as is. If this is all too much, just tune in to Stuff. We’ll have the updates from the event, as they happen.
