Kickoff in April – Rugby Challenge 3 dated for SA

It’s been simply ages since we’ve seen a really good rugby game launch. Even having a rugby title made is an achievement in itself, a good title is a much rarer beast. The good news is that the Rugby Challenge series, after a three-year hiatus, is back, with a launch date for Rugby Challenge 3 being announced.

RC3You can get your scrumbag paws on RC 3 from 22 April this year and don’t worry if you haven’t made the switch to one of the new consoles. The title will be arriving on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Of interest is that each country will be getting its own edition with its own cover art. Hence, South Africa will be getting the Springbok Edition and other countries… well, we’re not concerned about that but they’ll have their own heroes on the cover.

Players will be getting Rugby Sevens for the first time, as well as player creation tools, a Be-A-Pro mode (over 13 seasons), 11 tournaments (including the Currie Cup), and commentary from Grant Nisbett and Justin Marshall.

Pricing? That hasn’t been detailed yet. We’ll have that info for you closer to kickoff.
