Samsung’s Galaxy S7, S7 Edge show up on AnTuTu benchmarks

Samsung’s rumour machine is still ticking over, though ‘revving up’ is perhaps a more accurate description. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets have been sighted in AnTuTu benchmarks – as opposed to a sighting of the handset itself – and the data contained there confirms rumoured specifications for both handset.

The Galaxy S7 has already been seen in benchmark results, with a Snapdragon 820 at its core, but the AnTuTu sighting has the Exynos 8890 from Samsung in the driver’s seat. The specs for the device are given as: a 5.1-inch 2K display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 12MP/5MP camera combo. Which is about what we’re expecting based on past leaks, it’s just been confirmed here again. There is, oddly enough, no benchmark score available yet though.

The Galaxy S7 Edge features most of the same specs, based on its AnTuTu sighting (which also lacks an actual score), except that it’s toting a Snapdragon 820. The screen is the same size, just curved, which is odd because we’ve been looking for a 5.5-inch S7 Edge variant. There are a couple of reasons for this discrepancy. This could be a test model, or maybe that 5.5-inch Edge was fictional all along. We’ll have to wait and see. Mobile World Congress looms on the horizon like a large, looming thing so we’ll know much more then.
