LG G4 owners will be among the first to upgrade when Android 6.0 lands in SA

Do you own an LG G4? You do? Then you’re going to be among the first users to use Android M, otherwise known as Android 6.0. If you’re a resident of Poland – you’re not but for the sake of argument – then you’d be getting the OS upgrade next week.

LG have announced that they will be rolling out the Android 6.0 upgrade for users of the LG G4 and have gone to great pains to point out that G4 owners are first in line – a little something that they cooked up with Google. The first country to get the update is Poland, followed by other European, then Asian and American markets. South Africa’s in there somewhere as well, you can expect more details for ZA to pitch up between mid and end-November.

LG’s Chris Yie said “While speed alone isn’t an indicator of great service, it does go a long way toward giving consumers the confidence that LG is committed to its existing customers first.” At the expense of everyone else’s customers but hey, someone has to be last, right?
