Unfair advantage? PlayStation 4 is getting a mouse/keyboard controller combo

Your method of control is important in gaming, especially when you’re playing first-person shooters. Anyone can tell you that the PC’s mouse and keyboard offers a huge amount of control compared to a dual analogue stick controller. We don’t care how good you think you are with an Xbox controller, a mouse will outshoot you every time.

But console gamers might finally be getting their shot at some better accuracy with the upcoming release of Hori’s Tactical Assault Commander 4, a wired peripheral for the PlayStation 4 that takes the PS4’s Dualshock and converts those controls into a mouse and mini-keyboard.

The right analogue stick, which is used to aim, is mapped to the mouse while the remainder of the controls are recreated in a very PC-centric control scheme. Gamers more used to their gaming rigs will find that the PS4 will offer a WASD setup with the Tactical Assault Commander 4 – that’s one way to feel more at home.

We don’t have the slightest idea whether it’ll arrive in South Africa but it is available for pre-order from Amazon. It might be worth getting early, the pre-order price of roughly R1,700 could be worth it for your added tactical advantage online – especially if you’re a sniper. The other players online will never know what hit them.
