Rise of the Tomb Raider will appear on PS4 and PC – next year

Microsoft didn’t make too many friends when it was announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to the 2013 reboot would be an exclusive release on the Xbox One, something that didn’t alter much when it came out that the ‘exclusive’ portion of that announcement was lacking the word ‘timed’.

Still, if you’re a PC or PlayStation 4 gamer then you’ll be pleased to know that publisher Square Enix have given a time-frame for the the game’s release on your preferred platform. Though PS4 gamers will be less pleased than the #masterrace players will be.

According to the company, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be launching on 10 November for Xbox One (and Xbox 360), with a PC launch happening soon after in “early 2016”. Which isn’t too bad, considering what PS4 gamers have to go through. If you’re a Sony fan, you’ll have to wait until November 2016 at least to go adventuring with Lara as Rise of the Tomb Raider “…will be a console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch.”
