Apple reportedly extremely confident in the iPhone 6S

For those of you who don’t follow the inner machinations of companies like Apple, the company ordered between 70 and 80 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets ahead of their launch last year. That way they were able to meet demand and the resulting record-breaking sales were the payoff.

Now a Wall Street Journal report claims that Apple’s betting even bigger for 2015, with a reported 85 to 90 million iPhone 6S and 6S Plus handsets expected to be on hand for the launch period this year – including that all-important Christmas window. That’s a lot of confidence and you can’t fault them for it this year.

Other items that that WSJ report seems to confirm are that the new handset will come equipped with Apple’s Force Touch tech, and there’s also talk of a new colour option being added to the roster – Rose Gold. Having a matching phone for your Apple Watch seems to be the thinking there if the report is correct.
