Stick of Truth sequel South Park: The Fractured But Whole announced

We’re not going to lie, we’ve been waiting for this day ever since we finished South Park: The Stick of Truth. The Stick of Truth was a fantastic game but there was one thing missing: More of it. And more is what we shall have, as Ubisoft and South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have announced that the sequel, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, is heading to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This time around, players will be sticking with their role as The New Kid and, by the look of things, the Stick of Truth is still around. But rather than wizards and elves, players are going to find themselves taking part in some superhero play with the South Park gang in their Coon and Friends getup.

What’s gameplay going to look like? Like South Park, silly. But it looks as though there might be some revamped combat on the way (the trailer’s very self-aware, by the way) and we might be mistaken but they could be borrowing from the Batman: Arkham series of games for their presentation of The Fractured But Whole.

Sadly, we don’t know when release is slated for. The game is available for pre-order in most places, so hopefully it won’t be long before we’re wandering South Park once again. It’s been too long.
