Galaxy Note 5 is set to sport a USB Type-C port

USB Type-C is definitely the coming thing, if reports on the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 are correct.

A report claims that Samsung’s Note 5 will arrive with a USB Type-C port in tow. The reversible port, which is the basis of the USB 3.1 standard, would bring some blistering transfer speeds to the Galaxy Note 5 as well as that ever-pleasant bonus – getting the charger into the slot on the first go.

The Note 5 is expected some time in September this year and there have already been several reports on what Samsung has planned but the latest, based on a report from Korean website Naver, could see Samsung’s phablet being gifted with the ability to transfer at speeds of 10Gbps. We’re never going to complain about that so hopefully this report is on the ball – for several reasons.

Barring confirmation from another source, we can expect to see more of the Galaxy Note 5 and its Type-C port at IFA in Berlin, Germany in a couple of months.
