Not everyone can be Tony Stark, that’s kind of the whole point of having a Tony Stark hanging around. It’s the fact that he’s a limited edition that makes him awesome. So it’s not surprising that the Iron Man edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge, recently unveiled (officially) by Samsung, is going to have a limited run.
As you might have seen in Samsung’s unboxing video, this 64GB S6 Edge comes in the red and gold of the Iron Man suit from Avengers: Age of Ultron, the film tie-in to this release. The phone’s theme is based on the in-helmet interface that Iron Man uses and the wireless charger included with the handset is modelled on Tony’s chest arc reactor. Appropriate.
Everything is extremely well packaged and all the goodies are in one place. Each handset in this limited run will be numbered, at the rear of the phone, though Samsung haven’t said how many are going to be made.
They’re also fairly mum about availability. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition (to give it its full title) launches in South Korea tomorrow, with a release in China planned in June. The rest of the world? No flippen idea. We may never see it.
