LG adds G4c and G4 Stylus to the G4 family

After being subject to numerous leaks on Dutch and German websites, LG has officially launched the G4c as a more compact version of its G4 flagship.

Also added to the line up is the 5.7in G4 Stylus, which, as you may have guessed, comes with a stylus.

LG says both phones offer similar features to the middle sibling G4.

G4 AdditionsThe G4 Stylus will be offered in LTE or 3G versions. The LTE specs include 13MP rear- and 5MP front-facing cameras with laser autofocus, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB onboard memory with microSD slot and a 3000mAh removable battery. The 3G version comes with an 8MP rear-camera, but no laser autofocus and 1.4GHz octa-core processor, other specs are the same.

The G4c will arrive with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of expandable memory, 8MP rear- and 5MP front-facing cameras and a 2540mAh battery.

Interestingly, neither of the phones offers a quad HD 2K screen, settling for standard HD instead. Perhaps LG doesn’t want the new phones to steal the thunder from its main attraction: the flagship G4.

Some of LG’s intuitive features, such as Gesture Shot, Glance View and Knock Code make an appearance on both phones.

Both the LTE and 3G versions of the G4 Stylus will be available in metallic silver or floral white, while the LTE-only G4c comes in metallic gray, ceramic white or shiny gold finishes.

LG says both will launch in “key strategic markets” in the next few weeks. Prices and availability are to be confirmed.
