Set to be released in February, we expect great things from the newly-announced P37X from Gigabyte which houses a top-end Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M. The 17.3-inch lightweight body is set to ensure portability so we’re expecting that gamers will be able to travel with ease to their grandma’s house.
It might also claim to be the coolest gaming laptop on shelves (literally) seeing that it is fitted with Gigabyte’s exclusive Supra-cool tech. This thermal cooling capability, which Gigabyte says is awesome, will hopefully provide a cool lap throughout those long nights of intensive gaming.
Although it is lightweight and portable, the P37X has a Full HD, wide angle display and a stereo Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater-supporting subwoofer. Exciting stuff is expected from this little gaming setup and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Gigabyte isn’t stopping there and is also giving us a supermodel-skinny P34W refresh which weighs just 1.71kg. It has a GTX 970M graphics card in its 20.9mm thin profile, which is quite impressive for a 14-inch notebook, gaming or not.
Expected launch date? Unconfirmed for South Africa so far but they’ll be hitting the States in late Jan/early February and we can expect them to make an appearance here around mid-2015.
