The best thing about holidays? Doing whatever you want. If you have kids though, you will usually wind up doing whatever they want. Unless you head to someplace like the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre where they’re hosting a month-long holiday programme that will entertain and educate kids.
The Centre will be open seven days a week, with the exceptions being 25 December and 1 January, from 9:00 to 17:00 (Mondays to Fridays) and 9:30 to 16:30 (Saturday and Sunday).
There is going to be a cost, or a couple of them. Entrance will be free for pensioners and kids under the age of three, with adults paying R35 for entry and kids costing R20. Some of the workshops will have entry fees and others may have limits on the number of people who can participate any any one time.
The Sci-Bono Centre will also be playing host to what they call a “digital carnival” from 22 December to 15 January, which will involve 3D movies, an Entertainment Hub and a 5D experience that they’re quite mum about for the moment.
So it looks like there’s going to be a lot to do if you swing by the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre this festive season.
