There may not be an iPhone 6 out in September after all

Just when we thought we could start to get excited for a 19th September iPhone 6 launch, Apple decides to toy with our feelings. According to MacRumors, the company is set to delay its big reveal – if only for a few weeks.

The site claims that one of Apple’s senior store leaders let slip that the iPhone 6 could possibly arrive on 14th October by claiming that date would be an “immense day for Apple”. The person added that that entire month would be a busy time for the company and its affiliated retail stores.

But the report also highlighted that Apple’s planning a media event for 16th September, a month ahead of the timeframe indicated by the retail employee.

Does this mean Tim Cook’s going to reveal the iPhone 6 in September but not roll it out until October? It’s a possibility.

SO WHAT’S CLOSER TO THE TRUTH?

Amazon Japan iPhoneBut then, Amazon recently let leak on its Japan site that the highly anticipated smartphone could be available for purchase on 30th September, so we wouldn’t advise you to get your hopes up until an official media invite goes out.

As if the release date isn’t mind boggling enough, we’ve also got to deal with trying to figure out if we’re going to see just one iPhone 6, two variants in different sizes, or as many as four of them.
