Apple’s WWDC will take place from 2 June

Apple has dropped the dates for their Wordwide Developers Conference for this year, with the event starting off on 2 June. WWDC 2014 will run through to 6 June and will be taking place at Moscone West in San Francisco.

The company will be hosting several technical sessions, showing off upcoming and current features of iOS and OSX and will have have the Apple Design Awards taking place during the event. Unusually, developers can now apply for tickets to the event but attendees will be randomly selected for this year’s event.

Apple’s Phil Schiller said in a media statement “Every year the WWDC audience becomes more diverse, with developers from almost every discipline you can imagine and coming from every corner of the globe. We look forward to sharing with them our latest advances in iOS and OS X so they can create the next generation of great apps.”
